Family Hope
Family Hope provides a safe and stable place for rest, relief, and recovery for broken families. It is a long-term discipleship program for women and families. It is the only area program that allows kids to stay with their parents during their recovery from a dysfunctional lifestyle and avoids placing them in the homes of relatives or in foster care.
Families stay at the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission for 10-18 months in their own apartment. During this time they participate in intensive, biblically-based professional counseling to deal with issues from the past.They also learn job skills and life skills in a Christ-centered environment. Children attend school or our childcare center, Sonshine Kids Children’s Ministry, while parents participate in the program.
