Women's Good Samaritan
The Good Samaritan area sleeps over 36 single women. Our doors are open to those who need shelter from 8 pm until 7 am the next morning. Truthfully, many of these clients suffer from heavy addiction problems and mental health issues. In addition to shelter, Good Samaritan clients receive three meals a day and hygiene products. They are required to shower daily and have access to laundry facilities weekly. All women are responsible for a chore in the morning or evening to help keep their area clean.
This area's name comes from the story in the Bible of the Good Samaritan, who met someone from a very different background than his own, yet reached out across cultural barriers to meet that person’s physical needs. That’s what we do in the Good Samaritan area – meet basic human needs in the name of Christ.
