Nutrition Bar & Water Bottle Program
Is your heart stirred by the homeless people you see on the street?
If so, here’s a very practical way to help.
Don’t give out money. Generally speaking, your money is not used for food, but for drugs or booze. Instead, take care of that real need for food or water by handing out a nutrition bar and/or a bottle of water.
On it is a label with the address, phone number, and meal times at the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission. No one is turned away there from a healthy, nutritious meal. In addition to feeding the body, their souls are fed as well by the loving attention of the staff and the Christian environment. They can receive shelter, hygiene products, a hot shower, and much more. Homeless men, women and children can start on the road to a new, healthy life there, and your act of kindness could be the spark that makes this happen.
