Auto Sales Manager

Job Discription: The Auto Sales Manager is responsible to the Director of Retail to oversee all duties and activities of Rescued Wheels Auto Sales Enterprise of the Kalamazoo Gospel Ministries. 

Position Type: Full Time

Responsibilities:
•Manage all aspects of sales and donations including intake, acquisition, repairs, value analysis, marketing, sales, paperwork and reporting.
•Manage all internal reporting requirements required for the Auto Program including accurate data collection and paperwork required for legal compliance.
•Track and monitor daily, weekly and monthly auto donations and sales.
•Plan, facilitate and monitor a yearly budget showing financial accountability and prudent expenditures to the Director of Retail.
•Meet and exceed specific sales targets in order to provide revenue for the ministry

Qualifications:

•High school diploma; some college or technical school helpful.
•Minimum of two years’ experience in auto sales.
•Solid understanding of basic auto sales and business operations.
•Sales certifications helpful

Men's Shelter Support

Job Discription: To perform specific duties and activities on a particular shift (Morning, Day, Noon, Evening, Dinner, Night) for the staff of the Men’s Shelter of the Department of Residential Services of the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission.  

Position Type: This is a B4 or B5 level, full-time or part-time employee position.

Responsibilities:
• Adhere to the policies and procedures of the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission.
•Submit to the Men’s Shelter Lead Supervisor as their direct supervisor and fulfill requests of the Men’s Shelter
•Manager and Director of Residential Services as needed.
•Alert the Men’s Shelter Lead Supervisor to any concerns during their shift.
•Complete any daily logs, reports and files requested while on shift.
•Maintain constant communication while on shift with Lead Supervisor and other departments as needed.  
•Incorporate Biblical principles into interactions with clients and other staff that build positive and productive relationships. Maintain a loving and peaceful environment by exercising spiritual care over the staff and clients as needed.
•Assist all clients with basic needs while on their shift.
•Assist with all meals and snacks served on their shift.
•Model a Christ-like attitude fostering community living and peace.
•Acknowledge growth, discipline and use positive reinforcement with clients and staff.
•Hold clients and staff accountable for inappropriate behavior and enforce discipline procedures according to the
•Kalamazoo Gospel Mission’s policies.
•Perform simple yet effective first aid care in emergencies.
•Invest time in client’s lives that will encourage productivity both at the mission and in their future.
•Attend all team meetings required by Men’s Shelter, Department of Residential  Services and mission-wide as requested to promote consistency and positive relationships.
•Cooperate with all Support Staff modeling a Men’s Shelter team that is unified and effective.
•Offer observations and suggestions to the Men’s Shelter Lead Supervisor that enhance ministry to discover new ways to best serve the clients and encourage their productivity.

Must Have Ability To:·     
•Serve with God’s unconditional love by consistentlyexpressing His grace and care.
•Share the gospel message openly and clearly.
•Model a spirit of teach ability to the staff andclients that promotes humility to always learn and mature.
•Support and implement wise decisions for staffand clients on their shift maintaining calm and peace.
•Provide stability for the Men’s Shelter staffand clients by firmly but lovingly offering guidance as needed.
•Demonstrate an understanding, patient, warm andreceptive attitude toward all clients and staff.
•Lift at least twenty pounds with no medicalcomplications.

Qualifications:

•Possess an intimate relationship with God thatmodels abundant living through all circumstances.
•Possess a commitment to the Lord Jesus Christexhibiting His lordship in their public and personal life.
•Possess integrity that models clear Biblicalguidelines to clients and the staff.
•Possess the highest regard for honesty in allconversation with staff and clients.
•Possess a healthy approach to conflictresolution with staff and clients that protects team unity and reconcilesdisagreements.
•Possess a great desire to continually displaythe Fruit of the Holy Spirit in all attitudes, actions and decisions.
•Possess a willingness to serve the Lord in aministry that deals with low-income individuals.
•Possess at least a high-school diploma howeverseeking or attaining higher education would be welcomed and encouraged.
•Possess and promote a drug and alcohol-freelifestyle that includes nicotine.

Maintenance Manager

Job Discription: As the Maintenance Manager, your task will be to manage the Missions grounds and physical facility asdefined below. An employee in this role will be proficient with and demonstrateconsiderable skill in building repair, emergency and preventative maintenance,maintenance problem diagnosis, repair costing and overall job, work order,inventory and shop organization. You will be responsible to enforce & overseeall standards for operations within your division. Your duties include butare not limited to:

Responsibilities:
•Must be able to arrive 10 minutes before shiftstarts to open doors. Must beableto maneuver and plan work orders before the. arrival of other employees tostart the day.
•It is expected that you will: 1. Abstain fromwrangling over disputable or   doctrinallydivisive topics, such as spiritual gifts, eschatology or issues of theologicaldebate. 2. Apply a biblicalattitude of service, edification, accountability and issue / conflictmanagement. 3. Show consistent evidence of the Fruit of the Holy Spirit. Evidence of a Christian walk byordering your life to the personal character checklist listed below.
•Manage building repair, emergency and preventativemaintenance, diagnosis of maintenance problems and repair. Be willing to teachand work side by side with client and employees.  Electrical Plumbing Drywall Painting Carpentry  Landscaping
•Evaluate problem areas  and proposethe necessary corrections.
•Maintain the following in a secure and organizedmanner: a. supplies storage, b. tool room and preventativemaintenance schedules. c. job andwork order prioritization and follow through, d. inventory and shop organization. e. maintain a system forwritten work orders, processing and delivery of supplies.
•Preventativemaintenance storage, inventory and delivery of supplies. Presentation, hygiene, attitude, language and standards for interaction with the public and residentsfor all volunteers, interns, clients and employees serving in your division.
•Enforce Mission Policy & Procedure. Manageand maintain maintenance files, service records and reports as assigned.Supervise those assigned to you, (paid, volunteer and program men) _ oversee theirtasks, provide specific direction and guidance, and maintain service deliveryto Mission policy and standards.
•Performancemonitoring, training, motivation, instruction, and conflict resolution withvolunteers, interns, and others who serve in your division.
•Your position is viewed as pivotal to theMission's Ministry with people. Whenhuman spiritual needs arise, you should prioritize that need unless you are  involved in an emergency situation. Ministry will include spiritual and life skill coaching, when needed, assigned or necessary.
•Otherduties and responsibilities as assigned in writing by the administrator. Mustbe able to lift 50 lbs.
