What Makes Up

Kalamazoo Gospel Ministries

Kalamazoo Gospel Ministries is a partnership between the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission and KDC (formerly Kalamazoo Deacons Conference). These organizations have served this community for over a half a century. With this combined experience, Kalamazoo Gospel Ministries is committed to serving those in our community who are homeless and in need of a helping hand. We are better together as we make an impact on Southwest Michigan.

Kalamazoo Gospel Mission provides night shelter for Men, Women and Children in our community in need of emergency shelter, food, clothing and a safe place to stay. Guests are connected with advocates who will take the time to listen and assist them with resources that will break the cycle of homelessness. We offer programs that assist in housing, mental health, addiction recovery, life skills training, educational assistance, job training and more.

KDC (Kalamazoo Deacons Conference) serves Kalamazoo County, providing assistance to those in our community who have a residence but facing a financial crisis. KDC offers a Direct Response Servant to each guest, providing one on one support, assessment of needs and then connecting the guests with the resources to help work through the crisis. KDC offers a food pantry, clothing, furniture, identification recovery and transportation assistance to and from appointments and employment.
